Mrs. Claudette Carter Wingard, 71, of Opp died Monday, February 18, 2013 in Mizell Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, February 21, 2013 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rhoades Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening at Wyatt Funeral Home.

She is survived by her daughters, Rena Bobo (Bo), Darlene Wenck (Jeff) and Amanda Wingard; sons, Maxie Grice, Jr., Rusty Ackerman and Jerry Wingard, Jr. (Leisha); brother, Acey Carter; sister, Monette White; and 10 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wingard was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wingard, Sr.; parents, Earl & Autibee Carter; sisters, Little Jo Carter and Margaret Roughton; and brother, Gerald Carter.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Ackerman, Maxie Grice, Justin McCormick, Nathan McCormick, Darlene Wenck and Jerry Wingard, Jr. Bro. Robert Hamilton will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of her sister-in-law, Monette Carter, 19828 Carter Hill Rd., Andalusia.
